Rick's MGB Pages

These shots were taken just after spraying
on August 24, 2002. The camera does not reproduce the color accurately so
it's hard to judge from these photos. It is "British Racing
Green" used on MGB's from the early 70's. In 1972 MG did not offer a
color called British Racing Green, rather it was called "Green
Mallard" that year.

Now the fun part - bolting on all the new
shiny pieces...Here we are pre-assembling the front
cross member and
suspension parts.
These other shots show the cross
member now
bolted in place with mostly new suspension parts. All bushings, bolts, tie
rod ends, buffers, and A-Frame arms are new. The shocks have simply been
cleaned up. The rotors have all new bearings and seals.
She's back on her wheels and we're
starting reassembly. This is the stock exhaust manifold. I removed
all the rust, cleaned it, and coated with a coating available from
Eastwood
Company.
At the rear we have new leaf springs,
bushings, u-bolts, and rebound straps. In addition, we have all new brake
parts including slave cylinders.
New taillight and reverse lamp
lenses. The engine compartment is coming together now. New wiring
harness and oil cooler with braided lines.
