1969 MGB GT Restoration

Beginning the refurbishment of the
front suspension...
After dropping the crossmember assembly below...
After disassembly, I soaked the parts with Easy-Off and
left in the sun for a few hours. Then a quick blast with a pressure
washer and the parts came relatively clean.
All parts have been painted and prepped for reassembly.
I chose to use Prothane poly bushings as they will last the longest.
Since the bushings are red, I decided to paint the coils springs in red.
Certainly not stock, but it adds some contrast to an otherwise all-black
suspension.
In the meantime, I had the carbs and distributor
rebuilt. I had the carb work done by a gentleman in Texas and you can
locate him on the
